‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ coming to PH cinemas on May 31

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is coming to Philippine cinemas on May 31, 2023, ahead of the US on June 2, 2023.

Across the Spider-Verse is the highly anticipated sequel to its Oscar-winning predecessor Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. It features Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy, Jason Schwartzman as The Spot, Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker, Oscar Isaac as Spider-Man 2099, Issa Rae as Jessica Drew, and Daniel Kaluuya as Spider-Punk among others.

The film’s synopsis reads:

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

Apart from the Philippines, the film is also showing first in Indonesia, France, and Switzerland on May 31, 2023.
