Genshin Impact v3.4 to feature new characters, new desert area, Lantern Rite festival

Genshin Impact v3.4 will soon go live starting January 18, 2023. It’s the game’s first major update of the year, bringing in a couple of new characters, a new desert area, and the return of the Lantern Rite festival.

The update will introduce players to a new area called the Desert of Hadramaveth, located north of Sumeru, with new enemies and bosses, including the consecrated beasts, and new quests.

The Lantern Rite celebration also returns with opportunities for bonus rewards. Meanwhile, players can pull for new characters five-star swordsman Alhaitham and four-star Dendro polearm user Yaoyao, among other rewards.
