Sharp expands the new AQUOS XLED 4K TV in the Asia, Middle East, and Africa regions

Sharp has officially announced the launch of its latest AQUOS XLED 4K TV in Asia, Middle East, and Africa region. This expansion includes countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Bangladesh, Taiwan, Middle East, and Africa.

The AQUOS XLED 4K TV, an upgrade to the previously introduced model in Japan last year, combines the best features of LCD and OLED TVs to provide users with an exceptional viewing experience.

“The global television market has seen remarkable advancements in recent decades, particularly with the introduction of new and advanced TV technologies,” said Okamoto. “As a leading Japanese TV brand, Sharp aims to contribute to the market growth by continuously evolving our technology and focusing on innovating premium and large TVs moving forward,” said Hirofumi Okamoto, BU President of Sharp Corporation’s TV Systems Business Unit.

The AQUOS XLED 4K TV features the Xtreme mini-LED technology that provides the highest dimming zone in its class, ensuring true brightness with over 2,000 backlight dimming zones. With 88x backlight LEDs, the TV delivers six times the peak brightness of conventional displays, creating a captivating visual experience.

Furthermore, the AQUOS XLED 4K TV utilizes Deep Chroma Quantum Dot technology, offering the highest color coverage in the history of AQUOS TVs. It surpasses conventional displays by providing over 20% more color gamut coverage area, resulting in realistic object colors and a true-to-life visual experience.

Sharp has also prioritized audio quality, equipping the AQUOS XLED 4K TV with an ARSS+ surround speaker system comprising 11 speakers surrounding the screen. This immersive sound technology excels in reproducing high, mid, and low-frequency ranges.

To provide a seamless entertainment experience, the AQUOS XLED 4K TV is powered by Google TV. Users can effortlessly access a vast library of over 400,000 movies, TV episodes, and live TV channels through Google TV.

Keeping up with the latest trends, Sharp’s AQUOS XLED 4K TV incorporates Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos technologies. Dolby Vision IQ optimizes the TV’s picture quality according to the room’s lighting conditions. Meanwhile, Dolby Atmos provides a more immersive surround sound experience.

As a pioneer in the TV industry, Sharp celebrates its 111th anniversary worldwide, and the AQUOS TV brand has remained its flagship product for over two decades. The AQUOS XLED 4K TV has received the prestigious 2023 IF Design Award, solidifying Sharp’s commitment to delivering exceptional brightness and color contrast performance.
