Acer Philippines has announced that Korean pop star Sandara Park, better known as Dara, will be one of its brand ambassadors for this year’s Acer Day celebration.
Dara will join Asia’s Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo and rising love team DonBelle for the Acer Day concert on August 6, 2023, at the SM MOA Arena. The concert is part of the annual Acer Day event, which aims to provide innovative products and promotions that enhance productivity and elevate the digital experience.
This year’s theme, #AceYourWorld, is about empowering and motivating individuals to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
“Dara truly fits the theme of this year’s celebration because she is an ace who has conquered stages worldwide with her talent and charm. The youth look up to her because she has achieved her dreams despite whatever challenges came her way,” said Sue Ong-Lim, General Manager at Acer Philippines.
Dara studied in the Philippines and rose to fame in the country on a reality show search. She then moved to South Korea and became a member of 2NE1, one of the most successful girl groups of all time until they disbanded in 2016.
Dara has since been active as a solo performer and a variety show host. She is also known as Korea’s favorite noona because of her youthful beauty and friendly personality. She has maintained her connection with the Philippines by visiting the country regularly and keeping in touch with her friends here. She is affectionately called the “Pambansang Krungkrung ng Pilipinas.”
Dara recently released her solo mini album “Sandara Park” on July 12. The album features five songs, including the title track “Festival.” This is Dara’s first album under Abyss Company.
