vivo V29 5G unveiled with Snapdragon 778G, 80W fast charging: It’s coming to Europe first

vivo officially unveiled its latest mid-range smartphone, the vivo V29 5G, which will be available in Europe first. The vivo V29 5G is a successor to the vivo V27, which was released last year.

The new smartphone boasts a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution, a Snapdragon 778G processor, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 4600mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.

The vivo V29 5G also features an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, an eSIM slot for dual SIM functionality, and a fingerprint sensor under the display.

The highlight of the smartphone is its camera performance, which includes a 50MP selfie camera with autofocus and a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and the Aura Light ring light. While the other two cameras are not yet revealed but it is believed to be an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera.

The smartphone runs on Android 13 with Funtouch OS 13.1 on top, which offers various customization options and features. It will be available in two color options: Peak Blue and Noble Black.

The vivo V29 5G is expected to be priced at around CZK 11,990/ EUR 500 (around ~PHP 30,300) in the Czech Republic, according to a report by GizmoChina. The exact launch date and availability in other markets are yet to be confirmed.
