The realme 11 Pro+ 5G is a midrange phone with a whopping 200MP camera. It will launch in the Philippines on August 24, along with its sibling, the realme 11 Pro 5G.

The smartphone is the latest premium smartphone from realme Philippines, the country’s fastest-growing smartphone brand. But before we get our hands on these devices, let’s take a sneak peek at what the realme 11 Pro+ 5G has to offer.

Initial Setup

Like most Chinese phones, the realme 11 Pro+ 5G comes with its share of third-party applications (as well as duplicate apps) that slow down the initial setup. This is not a major issue, but it can be annoying for some users who want a clean and simple experience.

The smartphone runs on realme UI 4.0, which is based on Android 13. It takes a while to set up the phone, as you need to update the apps and customize your preferences.

First Impressions

At first glance, the realme 11 Pro+ 5G has a stunning design that is inspired by luxury fashion. The design was done in collaboration with Matteo Menotto, a former Gucci Prints Designer and Bulgari’s Head of Design for Prints, who brought a touch of luxury and elegance to the smartphone.

The phone has a vegan leather back. Our review unit is the Sunrise Beige color variant. There is another option called Oasis Green. It also has a curved glass front that protects the 6.7-inch AMOLED display with HDR10+, 120Hz refresh rate, and 950 nits peak brightness. The display supports 10-bit color depth, which means it can display over one billion colors for a vivid and realistic viewing experience. It also has double-reinforced glass protection.

The device is solid in the hand and measures 161.6 x 73.9 x 8.7 mm and weighs 189 grams, making it comfortable to hold and use.

One of the realme 11 Pro+ 5G highlight features is the 200MP main camera, which uses the Samsung ISOCELL HP3 SuperZoom sensor with Super QPD fast focus technology and hardware-level OIS. This sensor allows for 2x and 4x lossless zoom, thanks to the in-sensor zoom technology and the HyperShot Imaging Architecture 2.0.

Essentially, in-sensor zoom is technically a crop of a high-resolution photo, but the cropping process happens in real-time as you’re taking the photo, which helps to create a higher image quality. For best results, it’s recommended to take zoomed photos in good lighting conditions.

The camera also supports 200MP direct output, which means every pixel contributes to the quality of the final picture, and Auto Zoom, where the phone automatically recognizes the selected area and intelligently zooms into it with a perfectly framed angle.

The realme 11 Pro+ 5G also has an 8MP ultrawide camera with a 112-degree field of view and a 2MP macro camera for close-up shots. The selfie camera is a 32MP Sony sensor with a wide-angle lens that can zoom in or out depending on the scene.
