Acer Philippines’ #MakeYourGreenMark campaign earns Red Dot Award for Advertising

Acer has won a total of 12 Red Dot awards for Brand and Communication Design this year.

Acer has won 12 Red Dot awards for Brand and Communication Design this year, including one for the Acer Day #MakeYourGreenMark campaign led by Acer Philippines. This is the highest number of awards that Acer has ever received in this category.

The #MakeYourGreenMark campaign was a creative and impactful way to promote Acer’s sustainability message and encourage consumers to take action for the environment. The campaign featured various green initiatives, such as CSR partnerships, donations, and a concert with popular Filipino artists.

The campaign also leveraged the influence of 18 global ambassadors from seven Asia Pacific regions, who helped spread the word to millions of people around the world. The campaign demonstrated Acer’s vision and commitment to creating a more sustainable future for everyone.

One of the highlights of the campaign was the “Green Mark” concert, which attracted 15,000 fans both online and offline. The fans earned tickets by participating in green activities, such as donating to The Green Earth Heritage Foundation and contributing plastic to The Plastic Flamingo. The concert raised over Php 1 million for planting 5,401 trees and donated over 20 metric tons of plastic for making sustainable construction materials.

Another notable initiative was the #Acer21DayChallenge, which inspired users to adopt eco-friendly habits and share them on social media. The challenge reached 6.5 million users in the Philippines and went viral on TikTok, showing how creativity and engagement can drive positive change for the planet.

The Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design is a prestigious international competition that recognizes excellence in design and communication. The competition has been running since 1993 and attracts entries from designers and companies across various fields and industries. The winners are selected by an expert jury based on criteria such as originality, quality, and effectiveness.
