Apple officially announced its latest flagship smartphones, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, and revealed their prices in the Philippines. The new devices boast a stunning design, a powerful processor, an advanced camera system, and a new way to interact with the iPhone called the Action button.
The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will be available in four colors: black, blue, gray, and dark gray. The devices have a titanium frame with a textured matte glass back that is durable and resistant to scratches and fingerprints. The front of the devices features a Super Retina XDR OLED display with HDR10, Dolby Vision, and up to 2000 nits of peak brightness.
The display also has a ProMotion technology that adjusts the refresh rate up to 120Hz for smoother scrolling and gaming. The devices also feature an Always-On display that shows important information such as time, date, battery level, and notifications.
The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max are powered by the Apple A17 Pro chip, which delivers fast and smooth performance for gaming, streaming, and multitasking. The devices also support 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, UWB Air Tags, and Face ID. They also have a USB-C port that supports fast charging and data transfer.
The camera system of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max is one of the most impressive features of the new devices. The devices have a triple-camera system that consists of a 48MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 12MP telephoto camera.
The main camera has a sensor-shift optical image stabilization (OIS) that reduces blur and noise in low-light conditions. The main camera also enables super-high-resolution photos with a new 24MP default mode and a 48MP mode for more details.
The ultra-wide camera has a 120-degree field of view that captures more scenery in one shot. The telephoto camera has a 3x optical zoom for the Pro model and up to 5x for the Pro Max, which allows users to get closer to their subjects.
The devices also introduce the next generation of portraits with Focus and Depth Control, which allow users to adjust the focus and blur of the background and foreground after taking a photo.
The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max also have a 12MP front-facing camera that has autofocus and supports HDR and Cinematic mode. Cinematic mode lets users record videos with shallow depth of field and smooth transitions between subjects. Users can also change the focus point or level of blur during or after recording.
Another new feature of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max is the Action button, which is a customizable button on the side of the device that can be used to quickly access functions such as Camera, Flashlight, Voice Memo, and Shortcut. Users can also assign different actions for single press, double press, or long press.
