vivo officially launched its new midrange smartphone series, the vivo V29 5G, in the Philippines on Friday at an event in Okada Manila. The smartphone comes in Starry Purple and Magic Maroon with a starting price of P24,999.
The vivo V29 5G features a curved-edge 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole selfie camera. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor with 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.
The device boasts a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. What sets it apart from other smartphones is the dedicated circular “Aura Light” multi-tone mini-ring light system. This feature provides even lighting for both photos and videos, enhancing the quality and creativity of the shots.
The selfie camera is also impressive, with a 50MP sensor and autofocus. Both the front and rear cameras can record up to 4K videos with optical and electronic image stabilization.
The phone also supports 5G connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, and an under-display fingerprint scanner. It has a 4,600mAh battery with 80W fast charging technology.
The vivo V29 5G comes in two colors: Starry Purple and Magic Maroon. It is priced at P24,999 for the 256GB variant and P26,999 for the 512GB variant. The phone is available in vivo online and offline stores, e-commerce platforms Shopee and Lazada, and the TikTok Shop.
