The Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit (ESGS) 2023, which ran from November 3 to 5 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, celebrated its 10th anniversary and featured various activities, exhibits, and competitions for gamers, cosplayers, and tech enthusiasts.
One of the highlights of the event was the debut of LG Philippines, which set up a booth that displayed its latest gaming monitors. The booth, which was divided into four sections, allowed visitors to experience the different features and benefits of each monitor, depending on their gaming preferences.
- The first section was dubbed “UltraGear Racing” and featured the 45GR95QE monitor, which featured a 45-inch WQHD 21:9 Curved OLED Display, 240Hz Refresh Rate, 0.03ms Grey-to-grey Response Time, 1.5M:1 Contrast Ratio, and AMD Free Sync Premium. The monitor was connected to a driving simulator and gave visitors a realistic racing experience.
- The second section was called “UltraGear Sports”. It showcased the monitor’s compatibility with the Nintendo Switch. Visitors played Wii Sports which featured the monitor’s optimal gaming frame rate, matching the console’s output and making the game smoother.
- The third section, named “UltraGear Action,” demonstrated the monitor’s performance in shooting games, such as Call of Duty.
- The fourth section, labeled “UltraGear Adventure,” displayed the monitor’s capability in adventure games, such as Gran Turismo and League of Legends.
Aside from the gaming sections, the LG booth also had a special attraction called “The Falling Magnet”. The attraction, inspired by the monitor’s magnetic stand, involved a large magnet that would drop from the ceiling and catch a metal ball. Visitors who were able to catch the ball before the magnet did were rewarded with prizes.
The LG booth was a huge success, attracting a large number of visitors who were eager to try out the monitors and see how they enhanced their gaming experience. The booth also had cosplayers who added more color and energy to the event.
