MSI announced the Claw A1M, the first gaming handheld to feature an Intel Core Ultra processor, which delivers high performance and efficiency for AAA titles.
The Claw A1M has a 7-inch Full HD touchscreen display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 16GB of LPDDR5 memory, and up to 1TB of M.2 NVMe SSD storage. It also has a 53Wh battery, which MSI claims can last for two hours of gaming.
The device runs on Windows 11 Home and comes with MSI Center M, a dedicated interface for handheld devices that allows users to customize settings and access games.
The Claw A1M also boasts an intraflow thermal design, which redirects airflow to cool the internal components. The device also has RGB lighting on the analog sticks and ABXY buttons, hall effect triggers and joysticks, macro keys, and a fingerprint sensor. It supports Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and microSD expansion.
The Intel Core Ultra processor 155h is the key feature of the Claw A1M. This powerful mobile chip is optimized for high-performance tasks like AAA gaming. The processor has 16 cores and 22 threads, with a max turbo clock of 4.8GHz and 24MB of cache. It also has Intel Arc graphics, which supports ray tracing, and XeSS, a technology that enhances image quality and performance.
MSI says the Claw A1M will be released in the second quarter of 2024. There’s no information yet on its price and availability in the Philippines.
