Nothing announced that it will launch the Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a) on April 18, 2024. The company tweeted the update on X, adding that the upcoming products will be the “ultimate iteration of Nothing Audio” which “reflects the culmination of three years of design and innovation.”
The company seems to be also heading in a new direction for the upcoming products. Nothing is resetting its naming strategy, doing away with numbers on product names to “focus around the product and the unique experience it delivers for each user.”
We started Nothing with audio in 2021 and since our very first product, we’ve relentlessly refined our design and engineering with every new addition to our audio product suite.

Nothing did not reveal any details about the products, but the image does show design elements you usually associate with their products. The new naming also suggests the Ear to be the flagship variant and the Ear (a) as the more affordable option.
The Nothing Ear (1) launched in 2022, followed by the Ear (Stick) in the same year. It then launched the Ear (2) in 2023. Stay tuned for more updates.
