Blackmagic Camera app to arrive on Android soon

The app will be free.

Blackmagic Design is bringing its powerful Blackmagic Camera app to Android. This news comes after nearly a year of the app being exclusive to iPhone users.

The Blackmagic Camera app can transform your smartphone into a professional filmmaking tool, offering granular control over camera settings typically found on expensive cinema cameras. These features include control over focus, exposure, white balance, and frame rate, among other things.

Previously, Android users had to rely on either the default camera app or third-party versions that offered a limited feature set compared to the Camera app.

Hopefully, the app functions across various devices and supports older phones and different manufacturers.

The Blackmagic Camera app will be completely free, mirroring its availability on iOS.
