The critically acclaimed Thai drama “How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies” lands on Netflix in Southeast Asia on September 12.
This box office hit has already broken records in Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, and Myanmar, becoming the highest-grossing Thai film in those countries.
The film follows M (Putthipong “Billkin” Assaratanakul), a young man with dreams of becoming a game caster. However, his aspirations are put on hold when he learns his grandmother (Usha Seamkhum) is terminally ill. Driven by the potential for a life-changing inheritance, M decides to take care of his grandmother.
But winning her affection isn’t easy. She’s a demanding woman with specific tastes, and M faces stiff competition from others also vying for her favor. The film explores the lengths he goes to in a hilarious and heartwarming race against time to become Grandma’s favorite grandchild.
“How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies” marks the directorial debut of Pat Boonnitipat, known for his work on “Bad Genius.” The film is also a first for leading actors Putthipong Assaratanakul and Usha Seamkhum.
Produced by GDH 559 and written by Thodsapon Thiptinnakorn, the film boasts a talented supporting cast including Sanya Kunakorn, Sarinrat Thomas, Pongsatorn Jongwilas, Duangporn Oapirat, Himawari Tajiri, and Tontawan Tantivejakul.
