OPPO recently unveiled a new budget phone. The OPPO A3 5G was launched in India. Although it has the same name as another phone in China, this one has an entirely different set of specs and features.
The OPPO A3 5G has a 6.67-inch display with HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. The screen is further protected by a “twice reinforced” Panda Glass, ensuring it can withstand everyday bumps and scratches.
Under the hood, you have an energy-efficient MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Another highlight of the phone is its massive 5100mAh battery, which is paired with a 45W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge technology.
The phone opts for a single-camera setup on the back with a 50MP main sensor. Meanwhile, a 5MP front-facing camera takes care of selfies and video calls.
Durability is another key selling point of the A3 5G. The phone boasts a MIL-STD-810H certified military-grade shock-resistant build, meaning it can withstand accidental drops and bumps. It also offers some splash resistance for added peace of mind.
The OPPO A3 5G comes in Nebula Red and Ocean Blue colors. It is currently priced at INR 15,999 (roughly Php 10,800) in India. While there’s no word yet on its availability in the Philippines, this new budget offering is one to watch out for. Stay tuned.
