Apple officially announced its latest flagship phones, the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max. The new devices introduce larger display sizes, a durable titanium design, a powerful processor, improved battery life, and a new Camera Control button.
The iPhone 16 Pro lineup will be available in four colors: Black Titanium, White Titanium, Natural Titanium, and Desert Titanium. They come with titanium frames, a Ceramic Shield front, and a textured matte glass back.

They also added a dedicated Camera Control switch, a capacitive button that offers access to several camera-related functions. Later this year, it will have other capabilities, such as launching third-party apps like Kino, which can adjust white balance and set focus points.
These will also support Apple Intelligence, leveraging Apple silicon and Apple-built generative models to bring Apple’s brand of AI. It will be available as a free software update, with the first set of features rolling out next month in U.S. English for most regions around the world.

The new Pro models now have larger displays. The 16 Pro now has a 6.3-inch screen while the 16 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch screen. They both have Super Retina XDR OLED panels with ProMotion 120Hz refresh rates and ultra-thin bezels.
Under the hood, the new Apple A18 Pro chip built with 3nm technology powers the devices with 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 7, NFC, and Face ID. Compared to the previous generation, it is 15% faster while using 20% less power.
The new iPhones also have a USB-C 3 port, which supports fast charging, DisplayPort, and up to 10Gbps data transfers.

The camera system remains its most impressive feature. The devices have a triple-camera system that consists of a 48MP Fusion camera with OIS, a 48MP ultra-wide camera, and a 12MP 5x telephoto camera.
They also have a 12MP front-facing camera with autofocus and support HDR and Cinematic mode. Additionally, the iPhones can now take spatial photos and videos, which can be viewed on Apple Vision Pro.
The new Pro models also boast larger batteries with longer battery life. The 16 Pro offers up to 27 hours of video playback and up to 85 hours of audio playback. The 15 Pro has up to 23 and 75 hours, respectively. The 16 Pro Max, on the other hand, has up to 33 hour of video and up to 105 hours of audio. Last year’s 15 Pro Max had up to 29 and 95 hours, respectively.
