realme has unveiled the GT7 Pro Racing Edition in China. The device has similarities with last year’s GT7 Pro with significant differences in cameras, display, storage, and battery.
The realme GT7 Pro Racing Edition sports a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 2780×1264 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 6000 nits. The panel covers a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, which is a step down from the GT7 Pro’s more advanced RealWorld Eco2 LTPO OLED Plus panel with 120% DCI-P3 coverage.
Under the hood, the Racing Edition is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The device’s storage uses a faster UFS 4.1 standard compared to the GT7 Pro’s UFS 4.0. Moreover, its battery offers bypass charging.
In terms of optics, the GT7 Pro Racing Edition features a dual rear camera setup, including a 50MP Sony IMX896 main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The GT7 Pro, in contrast, comes with a Sony IMX906 sensor for its main camera. The front camera remains the same with a 16MP selfie shooter.
Other notable specifications include an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, an IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, and a 6500mAh battery with a blazing 120W SUPERVOOC fast charging. Connectivity is also updated with support for Wi-Fi 7, and the device runs on realme UI 6.0, based on Android 15.
For now, it’s unclear if the realme GT7 Pro Racing Edition will be available in markets outside of China. The handset starts at CNY 3,099 (PHP 24,600 / USD 425) for the 12GB+256GB base model. Stay tuned for updates.
