OPPO has announced the A5 and A5 Energy Edition in China. The handsets bring 50MP cameras, powerful specs, and massive batteries.
The OPPO A5 has a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2412×1080, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. Under the hood, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset and a 6500mAh battery that supports 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging.
For optics, it has a 50MP main camera at the rear and an 8MP selfie shooter in front. The phone also features an in-display fingerprint scanner and an impressive IP66/IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance rating.
On the other hand, the OPPO A5 Energy Edition sports a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS display with a resolution of 1604×720 and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Meanwhile, brightness peaks at 1200 nits.
It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor with a smaller 5800mAh battery. It also supports 45W fast charging. The phone has the same set of cameras as the A5.
As for the price, the OPPO A5 has a starting price of CNY 1,299 (PHP 10,300 or USD 180) for the base 8GB+128GB model. The OPPO A5 Energy Edition, on the other hand, starts at CNY 1,199 (PHP 9,500 or USD 165) for the 8GB+256GB model.
