Paramount and Activision are making a Call of Duty movie

Call of Duty is one of the most successful video game franchises in history.

Paramount has signed a deal with Activision to produce a live-action film based on the popular video game series Call of Duty. The announcement marks a major step in bringing the long-running franchise to the big screen.

The movie will be developed, produced, and distributed by Paramount. Both companies say they plan to stay true to the game’s tone and storytelling style. The goal is to create a film that appeals to longtime fans while also reaching new audiences.

Call of Duty is one of the most successful video game franchises in history. It has been the top-selling game series in the US for 16 years and has sold more than 500 million copies worldwide. The series is known for its fast-paced action and military-themed storylines.

“We’re approaching this film with the same disciplined, uncompromising commitment to excellence that guided our work on Top Gun: Maverick, ensuring it meets the exceptionally high standards this franchise and its fans deserve,” said David Ellison, CEO of Paramount.

“Our shared goal is quite simple — to create an unforgettable blockbuster movie experience that our community loves, and one that also excites and inspires new fans of the franchise,” adds Rob Kostich, president of Activision.

No release date has been announced yet. Details about the cast, director, and storyline are still under wraps.
