nubia Air debuts with slim design and strong build

Features a slim body, 50MP camera, and IP69K protection.

ZTE has launched the nubia Air, a new smartphone with a slim and lightweight design. The device measures just 5.9mm thick and weighs 172 grams.

The nubia Air features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.

Inside, the phone runs on a Unisoc T8300 processor. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The battery is 5,000mAh and supports 33W fast charging through a USB-C port.

Camera specs include a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and an auxiliary lens on the back. The front camera is 20MP and sits in a punch-hole cutout.

Despite its thin profile, it is built to handle tough conditions. It has an IP68/IP69 rating, making it resistant to dust and high-pressure water. The aluminum frame also includes internal reinforcement at all four corners.

The nubia Air supports 5G and runs on MyOS. It is available in three colors: Titanium Black, Streamer Black, and Titanium Desert.

The phone is launching first in Europe for €250 (around ₱16,640 / $293), with plans to expand to Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. Stay tuned for more details.
