Xiaomi has officially launched the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max, two new flagship smartphones that push its design and hardware further. Both models feature a secondary display on the back, which lets users preview selfies, check notifications, and even play retro games.
The 17 Pro comes with a 6.3-inch front screen and a 2.7-inch rear display. The Pro Max increases the screen sizes to 6.9 inches and 2.9 inches for the front and rear. Both phones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
Camera systems include a 50MP main sensor with Leica Summilux optics, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP floating prism periscope telephoto lens that allows for a longer 5x optical zoom. The Pro Max, however, uses a larger sensor for better light capture. A 3D ToF sensor adds depth and AR features.
Battery capacity is 6,300mAh for the 17 Pro and 7,500mAh for the Pro Max. Both support 100W wired charging, 50W wireless, and 22.5W reverse charging. IP68 water resistance is also included.
Pricing in China starts at CNY 4,999 for the 17 Pro and CNY 5,999 for the 17 Pro Max. The top-end Pro Max with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage is priced at CNY 6,999.
