HONOR quietly launches the Play 60A

The entry‑level 5G phone offers a 90Hz display and a large battery.

HONOR has added a new budget device to its lineup in China with the launch of the Play 60A. The phone comes without much fanfare, but it slots neatly into the brand’s entry‑level 5G segment, offering a large display, dependable battery life, and straightforward hardware for everyday use.

The Play 60A features a 6.75‑inch display with an HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. This is the only configuration available at launch.

HONOR ships the phone with MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15. For photos, it carries a 13MP main camera and a 5MP front camera. Both can shoot 1080p video, which is typical for this price point.

A 5,300mAh battery powers the device. Charging is capped at 15W, but the capacity should still deliver long uptime for casual users. Connectivity includes 5G, dual‑band Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
