Xiaomi has confirmed the launch date of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in China. The new flagship will arrive on December 25, just in time for the holidays.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra comes in three colors: black, white, and a new Starry Green. The green finish uses mineral particles to create a starry-sky effect. A purple option was rumored, but Xiaomi has yet to mention it.
The phone’s design looks familiar, with rounded corners for better grip and segmented buttons on the right side. It measures 8.29 mm thick.
On the back, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra has three cameras. The main shooter is a 1-inch sensor with LOFIC HDR tech, which helps prevent pixel saturation and improves light and shadow detail.
It is paired with a 200MP periscope telephoto lens, which can also do night shots. Reports also point to continuous optical zoom, which could mean sharper images across zoom ranges.

Under the hood, the phone is expected to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. Battery capacity could also increase to 6,800mAh, with 100W wired charging. That’s a small bump from the 90W charging of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.

Xiaomi has not announced a global release date. If they follow last year’s schedule, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra could roll out internationally in January.
