Samsung has launched the Galaxy S26 series, its latest flagship lineup that puts AI at the center of the smartphone experience. The series includes the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra, all designed to make everyday tasks simpler and faster with Galaxy AI.
Performance and Hardware
The Galaxy S26 Ultra runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy. Samsung says it delivers up to 19 percent faster CPU performance, 24 percent better graphics, and a 39 percent boost in AI processing.
To keep things cool, the Ultra uses a redesigned vapor chamber for better heat control. It also supports Super Fast Charging 3.0, reaching 75 percent in just 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 and S26+ are powered by the Exynos 2600 chip. Both models come with 12GB of RAM and options for 256GB or 512GB of storage.
The S26 features a 6.3-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the S26+ steps up to a larger 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED panel, also with 120Hz. The Ultra tops the lineup with a 6.9-inch QHD+ AMOLED display, paired with up to 1TB of storage.
Camera and Creativity
Samsung continues to focus on camera innovation. The Galaxy S26 and S26+ share the same triple camera setup: a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 10MP telephoto with 3x zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide. Both have a 12MP front camera. The Ultra, on the other hand, packs a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide, a 50MP telephoto with 5x zoom, and a 10MP telephoto with 3x zoom, along with a 12MP front shooter.
The Ultra also introduces wider apertures for brighter low-light shots, improved Nightography Video for clearer footage in dim settings, and upgraded Super Steady stabilization with a horizontal lock. It is the first Galaxy device to support APV, a new video codec that keeps quality high even after editing.
AI-powered tools like Photo Assist let users edit photos with simple commands, such as changing the time of day or fixing details. Creative Studio combines sketching and editing in one place, making it easier to create wallpapers, stickers, and invitations.
AI Features and Security
Galaxy AI now works more proactively. Now Nudge suggests actions like surfacing recent photos when asked. Now Brief provides reminders for reservations and travel updates. Circle to Search with Google can now recognize multiple objects in one image.
Users also get upgraded Bixby and support for agents like Gemini and Perplexity, which can handle multi-step tasks with natural language.
Samsung introduces the first built-in Privacy Display on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It limits side viewing angles to protect sensitive information.
Knox security is also updated with post-quantum cryptography for stronger protection. Privacy Alerts notify users when apps try to access sensitive data, while Private Album lets users hide photos directly in the Gallery.
Battery and Other Features
The Galaxy S26 has a 4300mAh battery with 25W fast charging, while the S26+ carries a 4900mAh battery with 45W charging. The Ultra packs a 5000mAh battery with 60W wired charging.
All three models support wireless charging, IP68 dust and water resistance, and run on One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 with seven years of updates.
