Home Credit PH hosts first Fintech Hackathon focused on AI

Home Credit Philippines (HCPH) recently launched its first “AI in UX Fintech Hackathon” in partnership with KadaKareer. The event, held nationwide, gathered more than 400 students and fresh graduates from over 60 schools across 15 provinces.

Participants were challenged to design AI-powered solutions for real fintech problems. The hackathon aimed to bridge classroom learning with industry practice, giving young talents exposure to real-world challenges and mentorship from Home Credit experts and KadaKareer coaches.

The competition moved beyond theory, offering structured pitching sessions and problem-solving exercises that mirrored actual industry environments.

After several rounds, the Top 10 teams advanced to the finals at Home Credit’s Bonifacio Global City headquarters last December 11. Three teams, composed of 14 students, emerged as winners and secured internships with the company.

Home Credit executives, including President and CEO David Minol and Deputy CEO Teeraphong Mahatham, highlighted the importance of people in driving AI transformation.
