Dyson debuts $99 handheld bladeless fan

Dyson has unveiled the HushJet Mini Cool, a handheld version of its bladeless fans. The device brings the company’s Air Multiplier technology into a portable form factor designed for personal cooling.

The fan uses a 65,000rpm brushless DC motor to push airflow up to 55mph. Noise levels range from 52dBA on low to 72.5dBA in Boost Mode, making it suitable for both quiet and high-power use.

The cylindrical body measures 38mm in diameter. A rotating nozzle lets users direct airflow upward or at an angle, while a lanyard accessory allows it to be worn around the neck.

It has a 5,000mAh rechargeable battery that provides up to six hours of operation. Dyson will also release optional stroller mounts and grip clips later this year.
