Samsung is rolling out a fix for the Galaxy S26 Ultra red tint issue. The company has acknowledged the issue, saying the bug was caused by poor display calibration and not hardware damage. Owners can already go to service centers for free calibration, even if the phone is out of warranty.
The red tint shows up on bright backgrounds, especially under strong light. Reports started in mid-July, and users have been waiting for a solution. Samsung posted on the Members app in South Korea that it is preparing a software update. The fix will be pushed over the air (OTA), but Samsung has not given an exact release date yet.
Service centers in Korea are already applying the calibration manually. This means affected devices can be corrected right away without waiting for the update. Samsung stressed that the issue does not require a recall since it is not a hardware defect.
Support teams in Korea said the OTA patch should be ready by the end of the month. A tipster also pointed to the internal ZH3 firmware release on August 20 as the trigger for the rollout. Samsung added that the remote calibration method is still under testing before wider release.

This is a big deal because the Galaxy S26 Ultra is Samsung’s top flagship, and display quality is a key feature. Owners outside Korea will need to wait for the OTA update, but Samsung confirmed the red tint can be fixed.
