HONOR has rolled out Magic OS 11 in China, built on Android 17 and debuting with the Magic9 series on September 28. The update brings a fresh design, faster performance, and smarter AI tools.
Magic OS 11 introduces a Dynamic Liquid Glass UI with smooth visuals and customizable tinting. Backed by Hummingbird Architecture 2.0, apps open up to 15% faster, and animations feel 20% smoother. Storage compression can free up as much as 50 to 60GB without losing data.

The update improves device connectivity with Touch-to-Transfer, letting you share files across HONOR, Apple, OPPO, vivo, and Xiaomi devices. Multi-protocol fast charging is supported, while deeper Apple ecosystem sync makes cross-device use more seamless.
HONOR’s YOYO AI assistant has been upgraded to handle complex tasks, reminders, schedules, and smart home controls. In China, it supports over 1,000 scenarios and connects with more than 10,000 third-party AI services. A new Hongyan AI Cloud Map also improves weak connections for smoother navigation.
The rollout covers 51 phones, 12 tablets, and 4 watches in three batches until November. Testing has already started for Magic8, Magic7, and foldable models, with public beta open for more than 18 devices.
