OPPO confirms ColorOS 17 global rollout on Oct. 13

OPPO has confirmed the global launch of ColorOS 17 on October 13, 2026. The update is based on Android 17 and brings a new look, faster performance, and built-in AI features to OPPO, OnePlus, and realme devices.

ColorOS 17 comes with a fresh design that uses frosted glass layers, smoother animations, and a floating capsule bar for navigation.

OPPO added three new engines to improve speed and battery life. The Aurora Engine handles graphics, the Polar Light Engine reduces memory use, and the Tidal Engine manages CPU tasks for smoother multitasking.

AI tools are now part of the system. The photo editor adds smart features, Notes supports live translation, and calls get AI fraud detection. These upgrades aim to make your phone safer and easier to use every day.

The rollout starts in October for flagship models like the OPPO Find X9 and X8 series, OnePlus 15 and 13 series, and realme GT8 Pro. More devices, including Reno phones, OPPO A-series, and tablets, will follow in late 2026 and early 2027. OPPO confirmed older models will also get the update in later phases.
