The X-Mini Click is an ultra portable bluetooth speaker the size of a small shot glass. But despite the short stature, the sound quality will surprise you. Check out our review of this big sounding speaker. Before we start, lets take a quick look at the X-Mini Click's specs. The speaker's size is stated at 36.8 by 43 mm; Which is roughly 1.7 inches in height (its that small). It comes with a 2W magnetically shielded 33mm speaker and a 300mAh battery. X-Mini Click key specs: Dimensions: 36.8 x 43 mm Net Weight: 47.5 g Speaker: Magnetically Shielded 33 mm Loudspeaker Output: 2W Frequency Response: 180Hz - 16KHz Signal-to-noise: 90db Distortion: 1.0% Battery Capacity: 300mAh Battery Charging Voltage: 5V (USB) Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR; A2DP, AVRCP, HFP Range: Up to 33 feet Design The Click features a minimalist and clean design, accented with smooth curves. It’s main body is made of metal coated with a matte finish. It is very well-built, and feels really good in the hand. Even when applying sufficient pressure to its side, it barely budges. At the base or bottom is where you’ll find its one-click button. It functions as both a power button, and a remote clicker (more on this later). It is surrounded by a soft spongy rubber ring that help keep it from sliding when placed on a smooth surface. X-Mini Click Performance Setup Setting up and pairing the X-Mini Click is easy. Just long press the button at the bottom until the blue LED indicator light starts blinking and you feel a slight vibration. It also beeps when its turned on and when its connected. Once its active, just look for it on your smart device and voila, you’re connected. Audio Quality The Click features a 2W magnetically shielded 33 mm speaker. It actually sounded pretty good. The audio quality is like an upgrade from your smartphone’s built-in speakers. What surprised me was how loud it got despite the size. It can produce a much fuller sound compared to a smartphone’s speaker. It still can’t compete against bigger speakers though, but you can’t put those in your pocket either. The only knock against it is that the bass comes out a little thin. Otherwise, performance is respectable. Click The speaker’s button can also act as a clicker or remote for your smartphone’s camera. It’s not something that usually comes with a bluetooth speaker, but it works and its a handy feature to have. And since its small, you can hide it in your hand and use it for those “candid” shots. Battery Life The X-Mini Click comes with a 300mAh battery. On average, I got over 3 hours of listening with medium to full volume. If used with low to medium, I’m sure you’d get more out of it. Conclusion Good things come in small packages and the X-Mini Click certainly proved that. Despite its size, the speaker surprises with a full sound (compared to a smartphone's) and good audio quality. It’s tough; and small enough to throw in your bag or stow away in your pocket. And there’s the added bonus of the remote clicker for times when you need it. The X-Mini Click Ultra Portable Bluetooth Speaker retails for P1,399.
