Lenovo recently announced its latest laptops, the IdeaPad U310 and U410 Ultrabooks. These new ultrabooks feature the new 3rd generation Intel Core processors, known also as Ivy Bridge, large storage capacity, fast boot up, instant resume and prolonged battery life. Ivy Bridge is the latest Intel CPU architecture built on a 22 nm process which boasts of an improved performance and lower power consumption.
The 13.3-inch Lenovo IdeaPad U310 measures only 18mm and weighs only 1.7kg, promising up to seven hours of battery life. The 14-inch Lenovo IdeaPad U410, on the other hand, is 21mm thick, weighs 1.8kg and lasts up to nine hours on a single charge. These new IdeaPads also sport 4GB DDR3 memory, 32GB SSD cache and 500GB Hard Disc Drive (HDD) storage for the U310 and 750GB HDD for the U410. The Ideapad U310 features Intel GMA 4000 HD graphics while the U410 features NVIDIA GeForce 610M 1GB graphics.
These ultrabooks also feature ultra-fast boot up and quick resume from sleep. They also feature Lenovo’s Smart Update software allows the U310 and U410 to automatically update email, IM chats and social media messages even when in sleep mode.
The Lenovo U310 and U410 come in Sapphire Blue, Aqua Blue, Cherry Blossom, Graphite Gray, Ruby Red or Spearmint. The Lenovo IdeaPad U310 will be available starting June 7, 2012 and the Lenovo IdeaPad U410 will be available by the end of June. Prices for these models start at $749 and $799, respectively. Pricing for the Philippines will be announced by Lenovo soon.
