Demand for prepaid BlackBerry handsets should be so high for Globe and RIM to decide to offer the BlackBerry Curve 9220 and 8520 smartphones in prepaid kits. BlackBerry fans who would not want to get tied down by contract now have the option of getting them in prepaid.
Globe subscribers can avail of a BlackBerry Curve 9220 prepaid package for P9,990. This comes with a Globe prepaid SIM, free three (3) months of BlackBerry Chat subscription with unlimited access to BlackBerry Messenger, and a premium BlackBerry smartphone skin for free. The BlackBerry Curve 9220 features a dedicated BBM key and runs BlackBerry 7.1 OS.
If you opt for the BlackBerry Curve 8520, the prepaid kit is priced at P6,990 and it also comes with a Globe Prepaid SIM, free three (3) months of BlackBerry Chat subscription, and two premium smartphone skins.
Globe prepaid subscribers purchasing the BlackBerry devices from participating Globe Stores can get another free P100 worth of Globe Prepaid load for call, text, and data services. That would amount to P2,000.00 worth of freebies. The BlackBerry prepaid kits are available in selected Globe stores and authorized distributors in the Philippines until November 30, 2012.
