Sony Xperia T Unveiled, Packs 4.6-inch Display, 1.5GHz Dual-Core CPU

OPPO Reno12 F 5G Coming Soon

Sony just launched the Xperia T handset which assumes the flagship position in the Sony Xperia lineup.  The Xperia T will also be known as the Xperia TX in other markets but it’s not known which markets Sony is referring to.

The Sony Xperia T definitely deserves that flagship label, at least that’s what it looks like based on hardware specs alone.   Sony Xperia T’s screen is not the biggest in this category as the handset features a 4.6-inch Reality Display but it’s impressive enough as it packs a 1280 x 720 resolution.

As to performance, there’s no denying that the 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8260A Snapdragon S4 CPU is blazing fast.  The rest of the specs include pentaband UMTS / HSPA+ radios, a front-facing cam with 720p video capture, MHL connectivity, FM radio, 16GB internal storage and an 1,850mAh battery.  The rear camera is capable of shooting at 13 megapixels with fast capture capability.  Sony says this Sleep to Snap feature allows taking photos from sleep mode.  The Sony Xperia T also has NFC for connecting to other Sony devices.

The Xperia T will not run on Jelly Bean when it launches in September.  Sony opted for Ice Cream Sandwich instead but it promised a Jelly Bean update shortly after launch.

Sony Xperia T will come in black, silver and white colors.  Pricing and availability in the Philippines are still unknown.
