Leaked BlackBerry A10 Specs Show 5-inch Screen, 1.7GHz Dual-Core CPU

OPPO Reno12 F 5G Coming Soon

The BlackBerry A10 is rumored to be the next flagship phone from the Canadian phone maker.   It has been leaked a few times and one even shows a working device on video.  All indications point to an actual device so it’s just a matter of time before BlackBerry confirms the existence of the A10.  This one is a bigger phone at 5-inches, much bigger than the BlackBerry Z10 which only has a 4.2-inch display.   What I like about the BlackBerry A10 is that it does not waste a lot of real estate as the bezels appear to be thinner compared to those on the Z10.

The specs sheet leaked recently shows a lot of details about the BlackBerry A10.  It is said to pack an OLED screen with 1280×720 resolution, a faster 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, 8-megapixel camera, 2800mAh battery, NF, LTE, DLNA and 16GB storage.

Here is a rundown of the main specs of the BlackBerry A10.

BlackBerry A10 Specs

  • 5-inch OLED screen with 1280×720 resolution
  • 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 16GB storage expandable up to 64GB via microSD slot
  • 8-megapixel rear camera
  • 2-megapixel front camera
  • NF, LTE, DLNA
  • Micro-USB, micro HDMI out
  • Micro-SIM format
  • 2800mAh battery

The release of a 5-inch touch screen phone should get BlackBerry fans excited.  It means that the company is doing its best to compete with Android devices, the best of which have huge displays like the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note II, or the HTC One and Sony Xperia Z for that matter.   The BlackBerry 10 OS has proven to be a capable and interesting operating system and it’s just a matter of marketing for BlackBerry to convince users to switch to its platform.  This is a hard task since Android is huge and it just keeps on improving.  For business-minded users, at least, they will have something to consider from the BlakcBerry line-up once the A10 is confirmed.

I had the chance to review the BlackBerry Z10 and the BlackBerry Q10 and I liked what I saw in terms of hardware and software.  Hopefully the A10 will be an even better device.
