At the Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi, Nokia unveiled several devices and one of those is the Nokia Lumia 1520, a 6-inch device that was probably the most leaked Nokia product in the company’s history. Before today’s official launch, several images and videos of the device circulated the internet so it was not a surprise that the device was unveiled at all.
The Nokia Lumia 1520 is a very compelling device and one that takes advantage of the recent updates to the Windows Phone 8 OS. Without the limitations set by previous versions of Windows Phone OS, the Nokia Lumia 1520 packs amazing hardware that includes a 6-inch full HD display, a 20MP PureView camera and a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor. It also packs 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, microSD slot for up to 64GB storage expansion and 3,2400mAh battery. The slim device is even compatible with Qi wireless charging.
The phone’s 20-megapixel camera uses a BSI f/2.4 Zeiss lens and offers optical image stabilization. The Nokia Lumia 1520 is the first phone to feature the Nokia Camera app that’s a combination of Pro and Smart cameras. This is reportedly capable of Lytro-style shots wherein users can change the focus area after the fact.
The Nokia Lumia 1520 comes in yellow, red and white black options. For pricing, the Lumia 1520 will not come cheap as it is priced at $750.
