Cherry Mobile, the local phone company, just tapped the services of high-profile celebrity Kris Aquino to promote the brand. Kris Aquino is the biggest talent in the list of Cherry Mobile endorsers which now includes big stars like John Lloyd Cruz, Kim Chiu, Anne Curtis and Sarah Geronimo. Cherry Mobile has boosted its brand image with the help of celebrities and this latest news means that the company is pushing on with the same strategy.
In a press release entitled “The Queen is Home”, Cherry Mobile likens Kris Aquino to a queen. Kris, for her part, said that she chose to associate herself with “the best brands”. It is expected that Kris Aquino will get a hefty pay for the collaboration, being the biggest star the company has brought in so far. As to being the best brand, Cherry Mobile certainly isn’t the best, but if we are speaking locally, there could be some basis to this claim.
Kris Aquino will be endorsing Cherry Mobile’s upcoming line of smartphones, set to be released by the first quarter of 2014.
