This looks cute. Alcatel just announced the Alcatel OneTouch Pop Fit, it’s 2.8 inch exercise phone. It’s not the fastest (read low end specs), it does have some things going for it.

The OneTouch Pop Fit has a 2.8 inch display, a 1GHz dual-core MediaTek processor, 16/32GB of storage, 512MB of RAM, and a 1,000 mAh battery. It is reported to be splash proof, and will come bundled with a pair of JBL in-ear headphones, five back covers (black, blue, yellow, pink and red), a semi-transparent flip cover (with three dedicated music buttons) and an armband case. There will also be additional software installed on the device: RunKeeper GPS fitness tracking app, DoubleTwist music player and Fleksykeyboard. The phone will become available in May and will be priced at $120 (around PhP5,500).

For those runners and gym rats out there, would you buy this one? It looks interesting, and could be a cheap replacement to the iPod Nano or Shuffle you use while running or working out.
