What sets the Vibe X2 apart from other smartphones is its “layered” colors. Looking at it from the side, you’ll notice that its colored in three hues. According to Lenovo, they utilized robotic arms and clean rooms to apply three coats of paint for each tone, totaling nine coatings per phone. To achieve a smooth finish, expert hand craftsmanship was employed as a final touch to further refine the layers.

Playing around with the Vibe X2, we noticed that its fast and has little to no lag. Thanks to its 2.0 GHz octa-core MediaTek processor and 2GB of RAM, the phone is very smooth and responsive. One of the bloggers in attendance was able to side load the Antutu Benchmark app and gave it a run. Surprisingly, the Vibe X2 got an impressive score of 46,461.

Along with the Vibe X2, Lenovo PH also introduced two new accessories for the smartphone: the Vibe X2 Battery and the Vibe X2 JBL Speaker. The accessories come as Vibe Extension cases and adds a forth layer to the phone. The Vibe X2 battery case is only 5.1mm thin that provides extra juice as well as protection from bumps. The Vibe X2 JBL Speaker provides better sound quality that also acts as a stand. Both the speaker and the battery connect to the device via connectors at the back of the smartphone.
