FREE ACCESS

Voyager Innovations, Inc. (Voyager), the digital unit of Philippine Long Distance Telecommunications (PLDT) Group, launches  SafeZone – a service that offers access to various mobile apps and sites for FREE, giving local brands presence in users mobile devices.

For the launch, SafeZone partnered with local and global entertainment, online commerce, travel, transportation, and news, including Philippine Airlines, Bank of the Philippine Islands, Agoda, Inquirer, Skyscanner, ZALORA, Carmudi, Lamudi, SPINNR, GameX, Babble Messenger, Eat Bulaga, and Pinoy Hoops, among others.

Soon, other partners like the Philippine Star, InterAksyon, Yahoo! Celebrity, Takatack, Tripda, and foodpanda will be added to the list of services that users can access for FREE. Initially, free access to SafeZone partner apps and sites will be available to Smart subscribers in the country (other brands under Smart to follow).

As an added bonus, you can also access their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram feeds within SafeZone for FREE. All they have to do is link their social networking accounts through the SafeZone Social page in order to post, like, tweet, favorite, and comment on social media.

GETTING STARTED

To get started with SafeZone, users only have to visit www.safezone.ph or download the mobile app in the Google Play Store to see a list of partner apps and sites that they can access without additional data charges. Once in SafeZone, users will have to switch “Load Protect” ON to ensure that they do not get charged for accessing other mobile apps and sites that are not part of SafeZone.

When Load Protect is turned ON, users will not be charged the standard P5 for 15 minutes of usage when they access SafeZone’s partner apps and sites. When users proceed to a site that is not part of SafeZone, they will be redirected to a landing page where they have the option to continue surfing by subscribing to a data package.

To know more about SafeZone and the services it offers, simply visit www.safezone.ph or download the SafeZone app at the Google Play Store using your Smart mobile phone.
