Smart launches new 5G-ready Prepaid SIM

Smart Communications launched a new 5G-ready Prepaid SIM featuring the biggest data, call, and text inclusions yet on the country’s fastest mobile network.

The new Smart 5G-ready SIM now comes with up to 9GB FREE data plus calls and texts to all networks. This is also available on TNT, Smart’s value brand that offers budget-friendly promos and services to suit the needs of the Filipino youth.

Upon activating the upgraded Smart 5G-ready SIM, subscribers instantly get 1GB open-access data, up to 30 minutes of calls to all networks, and 100 texts to all networks valid for three days. Users get an additional 1GB open-access data valid for 3 days and 10 GigaPoints upon successfully registering to the GigaLife App.

Moreover, subscribers get another 7GB worth of the GIGA pack of their choice plus 100 minutes calls to all networks valid for 7 days upon topping up of at least Php 100 load or subscribing to Php 100 worth of promos within 7 days of activating their new SIM.

The new Smart 5G-ready SIM is available at the Smart Online Store, the Smart Flagship Store on Lazada, and at accredited retailers nationwide.

Philippines widest network

Smart leads with the most number of mobile data users in the Philippines. Smart’s mobile data users increased to 39.5 million by the end of June 2021, up by 6.1 million or 18 percent compared to the same period last year.

As of end-June 2021, Smart had increased the number of its base stations to over 68,500, an increase of 16 percent compared with end-2020. This includes more than 4,500 LTE base stations deployed in the first half of the year alone.
