Cherry Mobile will be part of MWC 2015; Announces 2 smartphones

Now this is a moment we should all be proud of. Imagine our surprise when we found out that Cherry Mobile was going to be a part of the Mobile World Congress 2015, Barcelona.

The big announcement came through their Facebook page. And reports are coming in that Cherry Mobile will be announcing two mobile phones running Windows 8.1. Unsurprisingly, some local blogs already have information as to what devices were going to be showcased. Its the Alpha Neon and the Alpha View.

Unbox.ph has the specs and images of both, and they are well within mid-range.

Cherry Mobile Alpha Neon partial specs:

• 5-inch HD IPS display, 1280 x 720 resolution
• 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 CPU
• Adreno 302 GPU
• 1GB of RAM
• Dual-SIM, 3G
• WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS
• 2000 mAh battery
• Windows 8.1 OS

Cherry Mobile Alpha View specs:

• 6-inch HD IPS display, 1280 x 720 resolution
• 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor
• Adreno 302 GPU
• 1GB of RAM
• Dual-SIM, 3G
• WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS
• 2500 mAh battery
• Windows 8.1 OS

Both spec sheets are still incomplete. I guess we’ll have to wait for the official announcement for more information.
