Smart Communications has finally released the details of their data plans for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. And it looks like the telco significantly increased the monthly data volume allowance.

The lowest plan you could get the smartphones is on Plan 999. You could get the Galaxy S6 32GB with a P19,200 cash out, or P800 per month for 24 months; or a Galaxy S6 Edge for P24,000 or a P1,000 per month for 24 months. The plan includes a huge 5GB data allowance to go with calls and text allocations for all networks.

If you need a higher plan, you can apply for a Plan 2000, and get the Galaxy S6 (32GB) at  P5,500 (P229/mo), or the S6 Edge (32GB) at P12,000 (P500/mo).

“The Galaxy S6 and S6 edge from Samsung are mobile powerhouses that work best with the largest and most advanced mobile network from Smart. Users can get the best mobile Internet experience from these two Samsung flagships with the best data plans from Smart, the only Philippine network that offers significantly more data volume allowance for every user’s online needs,” said Kathryn Carag, Postpaid Marketing Head at Smart.

Aside from the huge data allowance, you also get these perks to go with your Galaxy S6/S6 Edge plan from Smart. Not a bad deal!

  • Free one-month Gadget Care smartphone insurance
  • Free Deezer Premium+ access for 24 months (worth P6,000); giving you access to more than 30 million songs anytime, anywhere;
  • A chance to choose one item from a lineup of exciting freebies, including: a Samsung wireless charger, Samsung accessories, tickets to the Katy Perry Prismatic concert, movie tickets, and gift certificates, among many others.

All local telecos and retailers will release the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge simultaneously by mid-April. Smart’s Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge registration page went live few days ago. To register, you may visit smart.com.ph/Postpaid/galaxy-s6. Registering before April 20 will get you a free Samsung Wireless Charger.

Honestly, I haven’t been this excited about any Samsung phone since the Galaxy S (my second Android phone; my first foray into Android was with the Samsung Spica). Unfortunately, my plan is still under contract and budget is tight.

How about you guys? Are you interested in getting either the Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge? If yes, from where?
