Sun Cellular is now offering free access to Facebook on mobile. The service is available to both prepaid and postpaid subscribers.

You can now stay up-to-date on the latest news about your friends, family members or that girl or guy you’ve been stalking. The service is free, so no need to worry about data charges nor do you need to connect to “frees” WiFi hotspots.

It looks like Sun is very much committed in giving us a better choice. Through their “Choose Better” campaign, the telco is encouraging mobile phone users to examine their choices and make sure they are getting more value from their hard-earned money.

How to get free Facebook on Sun

To enjoy free Facebook on your Sun prepaid or postpaid, simply toggle a switch that appears on the upper right corner of your screen every time you log in to the site.

Once it’s switched on (it says “free”), you will be able to post status updates, comment on your friends’ posts, and even send chat messages without incurring data charges. Take note that you won’t be able to view some photos, images or videos once you’re on free mode. There will a notification message whenever you access images, videos, other features or websites that are not part of the free Facebook offer.

If you want to go back to the full version of Facebook, simply switch it off (it says “paid”). You can then normally view images, videos, and other content on your News Feed.

Sun’s free access to Facebook is available to all data-capable phones, including smartphones and feature phones. Just update your Facebook app or visit the Facebook website on your mobile browser. Smart and Talk ‘N Text subscribers may also enjoy the same Free FB experience on their phones. If you want to know more about Sun’s free Facebook offer, you may visit suncellular.com.ph/freefacebook or you may check out the hashtags #SunFreeFacebook and #ChooseBetter.

Nakakainis ito. Pati yung nakawifi lumalabas itong offer na ito. Hindi magamit ng maayos yung fb sa browser.
