ASUS recently unveiled the ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe in Taiwan during the ZenVolution press event. The flagship has monstrous specs headlined by 6GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 820 chipset and a 23MP camera.

It looks like ASUS is pulling all the stops on the ZenFone 3 series. Their latest and greatest feature all new designs, but retain some of familiar elements found on its predecessors (like the concentric zen patterns). The internals also received a major bump up as specs (on the flagship model, at least) are all top of the line.

Monstrous ZenFone 3 Deluxe has 6GB of RAM

Let’s start with ASUS’ flagship model, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe. This smartphone features an aluminum unibody build, designed to hide antenna lines. It fronts a 5.7-inch full HD Super AMOLED display with 100% NTSC color gamut for brighter, richer colors. The bezels on this thing is ultra thin at just 1.3 mm, resulting in a 79% screen-to-body ratio to keep the device slim and easy to handle.

Inside the ZenFone 3 Deluxe is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, an Adreno 530 GPU, and a monstrous 6GB of RAM. Photography duties are handled by the 23MP main camera using a Sony IMX318 image sensor. It is equipped with a large f/2.0 aperture, and a 4-axis optical image stabilization. It also uses what ASUS calls TriTech autofocus system, wherein the phone selects between the 2nd generation laser, phase detection or continuous autofocus for increased accuracy and sharpness.

A newest addition to an already decked out spec list of the ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the fingerprint scanner. Honestly, I would be surprised if it didn’t have this feature. Another new addition is the use of a USB Type 3.0 Type-C port for faster transfer and charging.

Wrap Up

Looks like the ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe is set to challenge the iPhones and the Galaxies. The smartphone looks beautiful and very modern, with eye-watering specs to boot. It is, in my opinion, the best looking ZenFone to date.

The ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe has no release date yet, but the 6GB RAM / 64GB Storage variant will have a retail price of USD 499, which is roughly PHP 24,000.
