Cherry Mobile Flare 5 and Flare S5 Announced; Complete Specs, Price

Cherry Mobile recently announced a pair of affordable LTE-capable 5-inch smartphones, the Cherry Mobile Flare 5 and the Cherry Mobile Flare S5.

Cherry Mobile Flare Series

These two new Flare devices have identical specs, except for a few key features. Let’s talk about their similarities first. Both smartphones are powered by 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek processors, Mali T720 graphic chips, 3GB of RAM and 16GB storages. Both support dual microSIM, and are capable of supporting the 700MHz LTE band. And both have 16MP main cameras with backside illumination (BSI) sensors and 8MP front cameras.

For the differences, the Flare 5 has a brighter, more colorful AMOLED HD display, a standard microUSB port, and a 2,500 mAh battery; while the Flare S5 comes with an IPS HD display, a USB Type-C port, a fingerprint sensor and a slightly smaller 2,400 mAh battery.

The Cherry Mobile Flare 5 and the Flare S5 features metal print designs, and has an SRP of P5,499 and P5,699, respectively.
