Smart recently unveiled its newest offering for the public — super fast Wi-Fi of up to 300 mbps on MRT Stations and along EDSA.

Smart’s Super Speed Wi-Fi

Commuters rejoice! Smart recently launched Smart Wi-Fi at MRT stations and along EDSA. It is open to subscribers to all networks, allowing users to surf, stream and download content for free for 30 minutes per day without data cap.  With speeds of up to 300mbps, the service is now available at all 13 MRT stations, and will soon include EDSA as well.

To use the service, check for Smart Wi-Fi signs and turn on your Wi-Fi connection. Connect to #SmartWifi @MRT EDSA. Open your browser and input your mobile number. A verification code will be sent to you via text. Input the number and you’re done.

If the free 30 minutes isn’t enough, you can purchase Smart Wi-Fi load from partner retailers — Php10 for 30 minutes, valid for 1 day; Php20 pesos for 2 hours, valid for 2 days; or Php50 for 10 hours, valid for 5 days. You can also convert your Smart, Sun, and TNT load to Smart Wi-Fi minutes by texting the following — WIFI10, WIFI20 or WIFI50 – to 9991.

Aside from MRT and EDSA, Smart Wi-Fi is also available at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the LRT, and in key regional airports, seaports and transport hubs all over the country.

Smart Wi-Fi is also available in high-traffic areas, such as tourist spots, hospitals, schools, city halls, malls, as well as major hangout places across the country called Smart Spots.
