ASUS officially unveils the ASUS ZenFone 4. The phone features dual cameras, 6GB of RAM and an octa-core processor.
ASUS ZenFone 4 Specs, price, availability
Despite the leaks, ASUS finally takes the covers off of its latest ZenFone. The ASUS ZenFone 4 has finally arrived and it brings with it a combination of design, performance, and learnings in mobile photography, built from their past experiences.
The ASUS ZenFone 4 features a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display with a 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4 front and back wrapped in an aluminum frame. Inside, the device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 630/660 (depending on variant), paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 63GB of storage.
The rest of the specs include a 3,300 mAh non-removable battery with fast charging, a fingerprint scanner, a USB Type-C port, and dual stereo speakers.
Dual Camera
Since dual cameras are all the rage these days, it comes to no surprise that the ASUS ZenFone 4 comes with a pair. The handset boasts a 12MP + 8MP configuration, with a setup similar what LG is using on the G6 in that a second sensor is used for wider angles. The 12MP uses a Sony IMX362 sensor coupled with a large f1.8 aperture lens, PDAF and OIS. While the 8MP camera provides ultra wide-angle views. The front uses an 8MP camera with f2.0 lens.
Price and Availability
The ASUS ZenFone 4 is available in Moonlight White, Mint Green and Midnight Black. It has a retail price of USD399 or roughly Php20,500. The handset will officially debut in the Philippines on August 19, 2017.
