Happy new year everyone! It’s 2019, and we’re starting the year with an interesting bit of news.
A promotional video of the Nokia 9 PureView recently appeared online, showing off the smartphone’s highlight features headlined by its interesting penta-camera setup. This looks like the same renders posted by @evleaks about the phone at the end of 2018.
As you may well know, the Nokia 9 PureView will be the first smartphone to have a five camera setup with Zeiss Optics. According to the promo video, it will have the ability to take 5 simultaneous shots, re-focus after a shot was taken, and adjust depth-of-field for that bokeh effect.
The Nokia 9 will also have some kind of night mode as the video mentions low-light performance that allows up to 10 times more light compared to a regular phone.

As for its specifications, the Nokia 9 will have a 5.99-inch QHD PureDisplay with no notch, an in-display fingerprint scanner and HDR10 support. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.
It is going to run Android 9 Pie under the Android One program, meaning guaranteed OS updates for up to two years, aside from the regular security updates.
The Nokia 9 PureView is expected to launch at the end of January 2019, ahead of the Mobile World Congress that is scheduled on February 25, 2019.
