Heads up Huawei Nova 3 users. Huawei Philippines recently announced that the EMUI 9 Android Pie update is on its way.
Apart from the visual enhancements and performance improvements, EMUI 9.0 brings HiVision, Gesture Navigation (a personal favorite), and AI Gallery to the Nova 3.
How to update
To check if you have the EMUI 9.0 update, go to SETTINGS> SYSTEM> SYSTEM UPDATE.
Another way to check for the update is through the HiCare app. Start by opening the app and follow the steps to activate it. Then just tap UPDATE. If the file is available, it will prompt you to download.

Don’t forget to back-up your files before the actual update. You won’t lose anything during the process, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.
In case a week passes by and you still don’t have the update, Huawei has a way to force an update which they have detailed HERE.
