OPPO recently posted a video on Twitter, showing off a new under-display front camera.
There have been numerous innovations in a bid to make full screen phones a reality. From the notch, manufacturers moved on to pop-up modules and punch hole cameras. But yesterday, OPPO shared a video highlighting what looks to be an under-display selfie camera.

The 15 second video shows a person launching the camera app and taking a selfie using the new technology. The camera seems to be located on the middle top part of the display (you could see a ring light up).
While no information about the device was revealed, OPPO VP Brian Chen mentions the quality of the sensors on this technology is still inferior compared to most front cameras on existing devices. Still, with the quick pace of today’s technologies, it’s just a matter of time before the this one catches up with mainstream devices.
